Review Our Hearing Aids

At Georgia Hearing Aid Factory Outlet, we offer hearing aids suited to virtually every patient and every lifestyle. With so many options available, it’s important to get advice from an expert when choosing the best hearing aids for you. This is why we offer FREE hearing tests and consultations at our locations as well.

Choosing the Best Hearing Aid for You

The best hearing aid for you will vary depending on your lifestyle, degree of hearing loss, budget, and more.

Step 1: Hearing Test

We will evaluate the severity of your hearing loss.

The first step is a hearing test, which will evaluate the severity of your hearing loss. We’ll also work to understand which settings you have trouble hearing in most—do you struggle to hear conversations over background noise in a crowded restaurant, or do you have trouble hearing your TV at home? The specific type of hearing loss you’re dealing with is the primary factor we consider when suggesting hearing aids.

Step 2: Lifestyle Assessment

Your lifestyle also plays a role in the best hearing aid options for you.

For example, some hearing aids are better at reducing wind noise than others, which is very important for those who spend a lot of time outdoors. Some patients are more concerned about the appearance of their hearing aids than others and want to choose the least visible option possible. We’ll consider these factors when suggesting the right option for you.

Step 3: Determine Budget

We will take your budget into account when selecting the best hearing aids for you.

Hearing aids may be covered by health insurance and financing options are available, but we will consider your out-of-pocket expenses and choose hearing aids that fit into your budget.

I would give them more stars if I could! Everyone was very helpful and spoke clearly and loudly enough through their masks. I was attended to immediately and everything moved along like a well-oiled machine. More

Financing Hearing Aids

We have many options available to fit all budgets.

Some health insurance plans cover some of the costs of hearing aids, but coverage varies depending on your plan. Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover the cost of hearing aids. Before your appointment, check with your insurance provider on what they cover or you can contact one of our locations and we can check your insurance for you

Financing options are available to make hearing aids more affordable. Options such as CareCredit can help you pay for out-of-pocket expenses with no interest if you meet minimum monthly payments.

Frequently Asked Questions on Buying Hearing Aids

Are expensive hearing aids better?

Typically the more a hearing aid costs the more features they have. This is not always the case with some providers. They tend to rebrand the hearing aids lower models and increase the pricing. This is why we always keep the branding and model names the same as what the manufacturers sell. Our patients always know what they are buying and their value.

Do you need a prescription to get hearing aids?

No. All you need is an audiogram completed by a specialist. We do that at all of our locations free of charge.

Can you sleep with a hearing aid in?

We do not recommend sleeping with a hearing aid. If you are wondering for tinnitus reasons we suggest using a white noise machine or some low background noise to help cope.

Does wearing a hearing aid make your hearing worse?

No, it actually helps slow the damage of hearing loss. Once hearing loss starts it does not stop. Hearing aids are like exercise for your ears and help slow loss down by stimulating the nerves that help us hear.

How do you hold your phone with a hearing aid?

Most hearing aids can directly connect to your phone like a Bluetooth headset now, but depending on your loss, you should be able to hold the phone normally. If you have severe loss, we recommend placing the phone higher on your ear near the hearing aid itself to get a better understanding.

How do you reduce background noise in a hearing aid?

This is done in the programming by a specialist. We complete a portion of our programming in a noisy environment to really fine-tune the device in these environments. This is something that sets us apart from our competitors. Special programs can also be added to the hearing aids that you can turn on for extreme situations.

Should you wear hearing aids all the time?

If you have hearing loss we highly recommend wearing the hearing aids as long as you can. Its about stimulating the nerves in the ears every opportunity you can.

Are hearing aids worth it?

Absolutely, there is study after study showing how untreated hearing loss correlates with so many different life-long issues. Please do your research or follow us on social media and we will be updating content related to this frequently.
